Made with a sense of humour

My husband found this interesting jacket recently.  It purports to be a curling jacket.  It is made by a Dutch company called Scotch & Soda - Amsterdam Couture.

I think it's slightly ironic to actually wear it curling, which is how it's used around here.

I wouldn't blog about it at all except for the care labels.

  1. Hilarious!
I find it so interesting that you curl! (I confess to being a follower and a lurker...:) I've become a fan of the sport it because of all the late nite Olympic telecasts (along with a multitude of other night owls)! I live in California, so it is not a part of the culture or mindset here...but, I confess, I would love to own such a jacket...actual curler or not. The labels are just the cherry on the cake! Thanks for posting it!

  2. I would want to research this till the cows came home. Who made this? Who thought up those labels? How can we find more of their stuff? This is a company I'd like to encourage!

  5. I think I'd wear it inside out, so everyone could see the labels.

  7. That jacket is terrific! :D I think I have to figure out a way to put labels like that in the clothes I make myself. Since it isn't too hard to make labels with today's embroidery machines, I think the most difficult part would be figuring out what to say.

You should hold a contest to see who can make the most fun jacket, inspired by your curling jacket. I'd jump right in. :)
