Before sewing ...

There are alterations, which I'll post about later, but also dinosaurs.

The dinosaurs are the ones on the cheery Aloha shirt I made my husband for his birthday.  His is the only dino-Aloha shirt in the city; I would lay money on it.  And if there is another one, the print definitely does not match across the fronts, or on the pocket.  Harumph.

Since it's crazily, unseasonably warm here at 27C or about 80F, he modelled it for me outside and then we went for a walk.

If you click on the photo it'll enlarge so you can admire the print!

  1. Wellshucks, I for one do admire a bit of the Alvarez extinction hypothesis on the hoof, so the speak. Those longnecks are beautifully matched if I do say, D&K. Complaining about the weather, are we...??? Surely not: the mean would've been about 20C or more higher way back when, 65 million years ago.....

  4. Wow - That matching is great - It took the extra zoom to find the pocket !

Local Montreal news tonight said we reached 25° today - our thermometer at home thought, read 28° this afternoon. 27° predicted for tomorrow - happy news !

  5. Pocket? What pocket? I didn't see one!

    Amazing! I am in awe!

And weather - I'm jealous! I waited in the parking lot at work yesterday afternoon for the hail/sleet to let up as it arrived suddenly but finally grabbed my umbrella for the walk in only to have it invert and revert (my word/context)numerous times with the thought - at least it's protecting my eyes from the flying ice particles!!!

  6. I think this is a very smart shirt. My husband got some ties at the Natural History Museum in New York, one with stegosauri and the other with tyrannosauri Rex and he wore them, depending on his mood, as the representative of the ICRC to the UN Security Council meetings.

  7. The shirt is fabulous, something to be proud of. I've never made my husband a shirt, maybe a someday project. Happy Easter. Gita

  8. Great shirt --- perfect for the kind of weather you are having! It has been cloudy and drizzly here in California, so I'm envious! Did you decide to change back to your old blog format?

  13. That's amazing matching. Loved how the the head of the dinosaur continued across to the other side.
