The Sewing Lawyer clearly needs help. She is dithering. There are 1350 yards (1240 metres, more or less) of a lovely dark blue-greeny yarn, aran weight, in stash. Its composition is 8% cashmere, 47% merino, 15% polyamide and 30% viscose. It needs to be a cardigan. Would you choose:
I love the starburst. It takes me so long to knit I might wear this in 2015. The pattern is awesome. My next will be the alligator scarf for my grandson. Good luck. Karen in Illinois
The sunburst looks fun to make but the burdock is the most beautiful. It has pattern on the sleeves as well as the body and it has play of scale between the broad placket and the small pattern. I think it suits your style.
I like the diamond pattern cardi ~ but the sunburst front is interesting (not fussed on the back though). Your wool sounds gorgeous ~ can't wait to see which one you choose to whip up ... J
I like the Girl Friday -- because I'm in love with the shawl collar -- but you have a small frame and could rock any of these! The diamond might be most flattering on your figure. And, I love the sunburst but that seems like a fun casual pattern whereas the other two you could potentially wear wrapped up in your office:)
They're each good and would work, I'd think. My preference is the Burdock Cardigan. A cardigan is good yarn is, as you know, such a big investment of time and $$ that making a trendy pattern is wasting both. Good luck!
I can't wait to get started on my Little Wave. Its ideal as you can have it either open or closed & the shawl collar is a huge plus in my book. Burdock is a fairly close 2nd.

ReplyDeleteI would choose the Sunburst cable cardigan just because it's a little different and I think it would look very smart on you.

ReplyDeleteI like the diamond pattern cardigan the most. Sunburst is a close second.
ReplyDeleteI think the sunburst could be very flattering on you, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the Burdock--just lovely!

ReplyDeleteLove the Burdock, with the diamond pattern in second....
ReplyDeleteThe Sunburst Cable Cardigan by Erica Patberg is very unusual - I like that! :D
ReplyDeleteI've got to go with the sunburst. I like the color used in the pic, but your yarn sound so beautiful and cozy.
ReplyDeleteSunburst!!
ReplyDeleteThe Sunburst is definitely my favorite
ReplyDeleteBurdock! Lovely, understated, no gimmicks.

ReplyDeleteLittle Wave or Girl Friday! The Sunburst Pattern is cool but I think you'd get sick of it faster. My two cents! Have fun with it!
ReplyDeleteI think either the Little Wave or Girl Friday would be lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the last one, it's so different.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the Sunburst one.
ReplyDeleteI love the Sunburst, but if you go for something a little less crazy-making, the Girl Friday is really pretty.
